Wireless Charging: 50W to 200W Solutions?

I am seeing customers request solutions but the only silicon vendor with a reference design for higher power charging is Semtech who has a 40-50W solution.

My customer is thinking about engaging with Witricity.

http://witricity.com/,

They seem to be an IP house with lots of patents and a few reference designs.  Witricity is based in Waterton, MA.

Is anyone familiar with them and their products?

Is anyone else seeing custome interest in higher-power (i.e. not just smartphone) wireless charging?  If so, did you find any Avnet-linecard solutions to recommend?

Thanks.

Re: Wireless Charging: 50W to 200W Solutions?

Hi all,

I'm looking for Wireless Charging solutions too.  I need a solution to power Samsung Galaxy products.  TI is not an option as my customer is a TI direct customer.

Thanks,

Dan

Freescale and IDT have 15W charger solutions.

Re: Wireless Charging: 50W to 200W Solutions?

Hi Harold-

I cover Watertown, MA. How is it you are calling on this account?

50W might be dangerous for wireless power, and certainly would not meet Qi standards. Their limit is currently 15W. TI has options.

Tim,

I am not calling on Witricity, but my customer was reviewing their solutions.

My opportunity is stalled so I have not spent any time on it.
