FMC HDMI CAM

Hi all,

I bought an AES-FMC-HDMI-CAM-G and it comes with the getting started guide that shows first steps to use this product, in which they advise to navigate to the product page http://www.em.avnet.com/fmc-hdmi-cam to download the support files but this page doesn’t work, if someone can help me get this files or the updated web page

Another question about connecting this FMC to Zynq board when I have read the hardware user guide they put a warning message: "Before attaching a FMC Card, ensure the correct voltage is selected on jumper, J18. Failure to do so may result in damage to the FMC card and/or the ZedBoard". What should I do in this case connect the J18 to the low voltage or what?

The last question about this FMC and the zedboard, and to be honest I disconnected from the world of FPGA 10 years ago, so, I am totally blue ,I want to develop a machine vision application which it should run at least in 25 images per second with resolution of 720*576 and higher what are the best strategies to achieve that taking the time of development and real-time aspects as criteria (use the vivado HLS or the SDSOC), (targeting the PL directly or use the PS-PL co-design)

Thanks in advance for your help

Re: FMC HDMI CAM

Kamal,

Very sorry about the broken product page link.  Here is a new link:

http://products.avnet.com/shop/en/ema/development-kits/3074457345623664802

You can configure your ZedBoard for VADJ=2.5V, for use with the FMC-HDMI-CAM module.

For video application development, I recommend to start with the following reference designs:

Vivado HLS

ZedBoard + FMC-HDMI-CAM + PYTHON-1300-C Vivado HLS Reference Design, Vivado 2015.4

http://zedboard.org/sites/default/files/design/FMCHC_PYTHON1300C_HLS_2015_4_02_zedboard.zip

Note that the PYTHON-1300-C camera module is optional, and not mandatory.

SDSoC platform

ZedBoard + FMC-HDMI-CAM + PYTHON-1300-C SDSoC platform, Vivado 2015.4

http://zedboard.org/sites/default/files/design/FMCHC_PYTHON1300C_SDSOC_2015_4_02_zedboard.zip

Regards,

Mario.

Re: FMC HDMI CAM

Hi Mario,

I am following the tutorial below but the make tcl script would not finish running. I do have Vivado2015.4 and I can see that the licenses are valid. The only file that was created was the .xpr file. Then the script would keep running without the other two files created.

ZedBoard + FMC-HDMI-CAM + PYTHON-1300-C Vivado HLS Reference Design, Vivado 2015.4

http://zedboard.org/sites/default/files/design/FMCHC_PYTHON1300C_HLS_2015_4_02_zedboard.zip

Note that the PYTHON-1300-C camera module is optional, and not mandatory.

Any pointers on what have gone wrong?

Thanks!
