I'd like to use the FMC module in order to test Beckhoff's EtherCAT Slave IP Core on a Zynq. So far I got it successfully implemented on ZedBoard, with the configuration of EEPROM#2 being the only issue left in order to validate 100% its functionality.
The datasheet states on p.3 (@ '1.2 Features', under 'Memory'): "EEPROM #2: used for EtherCAT configuration storage".
@ '2.6.2 EEPROM #2', on p.9, it states: "...provides configuration information for various networking applications (except EtherCAT)..."
Could someone please provide me with valid information regarding this issue?
Thank you and best regards,

Section 2.6.2 of the ISMNET FMC User Guide is incorrect. The EEPROM #2 (Atmel AT24C32) can indeed be used for use with EtherCAT. Take a look at the EtherCAT Example Design on the "Support Files & Downloads" page for the Spartan-6 Industrial Ethernet Kit (http://www.em.avnet.com/spartan6ethernet) for an example of the EtherCAT xml file that is required for TwinCAT to program this I2C EEPROM with your hardware-specific (ZedBoard, etc.) information.
