AVR32 32-bit MCU/DSP is a high-performance 32-bit RISC microprocessor platform, designed for cost-sensitive embedded applications, with particular emphasis on low power consumption and high code density.
The AVR32 CPU is recognised by high processing power per clock cycle, allowing applications to be executed at a lower clock rate, with substantially less power consumption.
The instruction format is flexible, providing both compact instructions with 16 bits length and extended 32-bit instructions in a modeless operation. In addition to traditional RISC instructions, a number of innovative instructions have been added, including both SIMD amd DSP instructions. Java instructions are also implemented in the core CPU architecture.
