Spartan6 LX16 basic question

I was reading the getting started guide - Is there a global push button FPGA reset switch?

FPGA Pin H18, is labeled FPGA RESET, but is intended for general use. I guess this can be used as global reset.

Re: Spartan6 LX16 basic question

As noted in the User Guide,

Note that FPGA_RESET is a “soft” reset intended for FPGA code usage and does not perform any type of FPGA hardware reset.

The button tied to H18 is a standard IO that can be designated as a logical reset in your code.

One more question - Can I use the touch buttons just like push buttons. Do I have to change any jumpers or config?

Re: Spartan6 LX16 basic question

With the default PSoC image, the touch buttons work just like push buttons. They show up as GPIO at the Spartan-6.

Re: Spartan6 LX16 basic question

This works.

Just FYI, when the touch buttons are "touched" they are HIGH.
