s6omapsdk installation problems

Hi,

I am trying to install the sdk on ubuntu 10.04 and following the getting started guide given by ridgerun. The installation never gets completed and the following error occurs:

Re: s6omapsdk installation problems

I think that normally we do not install into /opt because that directory is typically written only by root.   Just a guess, but that could be the problem.  On your system, the error seems to be due to a missing file.  Is the file missing or is the entire directory or other set of files missing?

Re: s6omapsdk installation problems

Disregard that last comment about /opt.  It's been a while since I've messed with this SDK.

Re: s6omapsdk installation problems

However, the only thing that normally is installed in /opt is the toolchain.  All of the other stuff installs into $HOME.

Hello All,

I am also trying to build DVSDK(s6omapsdk-beta-Linux-x86-Install.bin) on ubuntu 10.04 LTS. Me too facing similar build issues as Pankaj. I tried to build in different folders i.e /opt and /home/omapl138 but the errors are same. Please help me if any one had overcome this problem.

js: "/home/omapl138/proprietary/xdctools_3_16_01/xdctools_3_16_01_27/packages/xdc/tools/Cmdr.xs", line 51: Error: xdc.tools.configuro: configuration failed due to earlier errors (status = 2); 'linker.cmd' deleted.

Re: s6omapsdk installation problems

Hi,

I am also having some installation problems similar to previous posts. I am using Ubuntu 10.4 VM image from QuoTrader. I am  running through the getting started guide for the AVENET OMAPL138 EVM. I have run make several times and got down to the following errors,

user@ubuntu:~/s6omapsdk$ make

The eth0: erorrs may be due to running this on a laptop with a wireles and a cable ethernet port but do not know if this is going to cause me a final build error.

The final make[n] errors are baffeling me. Please can anyone suggest what to do next?

Regards,

  Kingfisher.

Re: s6omapsdk installation problems

Hi Guys,

I am experiencing similar problems with the default SDK installation.  Let me investigate this a bit further with RidgeRun and I will post back to this thread with my results.
